Today was a glorious day. The sky was a clear cerulean, free from the smoke that has plagued us lately from the fires in the north. There was a brisk wind from the north and the temperature hovered around the 23.5C. My favourite kind of weather.
It was also grass cutting day. This year having an abundance of rain has kept the lawn shamrock green and lush and also demands that we cut it more often. Hence, I have been lax in posting this years gardens. They have been spectacular. Right now my purple rose of Sharon is full of blossoms and just as many buds waiting to burst forth.
While out in the back field I was blessed with first one then two until I had 6 barn swallows swooping around me. It has been several years since I have had that experience as in the last few years their were few. As I continued cutting the grass they would swoop around me like Jedis as they picked up bugs I had disturbed in the grass as I mowed it. The experience is one from this home that will remain with me. It gave me a hope of rebirth and better times ahead.
